NDN Collective will host a free Indigenous Peoples’ Day march and concert on October 13 in downtown Rapid City, South Dakota, also known as Mni Luzahan. The event, running from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., is dedicated to political education, cultural celebration, and community action in honor of Indigenous resilience and resistance.
The day’s activities will commence with a march from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., beginning at the Bandshell in Memorial Park. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy food and art from various vendors.
The 2025 concert will feature a diverse lineup of artists, including a special performance by Macklemore.
Concert Performers:
- Musical Headliners: AntoineX and MIRACLE.
- Musical Guests: Nevad Brave, The Bearhead Sisters, Xiuhtezcatl, Mic Jordan, Isaac Tonasket, Santee Witt, Nanibaah, and Hawane Rios.
- Spoken Word: Autumn White Eyes and Pte San Win.
- Comedy: Jana Schmieding.
- Film Screening: A short animated film, “POW!,” by Joey Clift.
- Music provided by: DJ WillieMaze and the Blackstone Singers drum group.
