Max Verstappen set the fastest time during the final practice for the Singapore Grand Prix in an exceptionally close session that saw the top five drivers separated by less than one-tenth of a second.
The Red Bull driver posted a benchmark lap of 1:30.148s, placing him just 0.017s ahead of McLaren’s Oscar Piastri. The Mercedes duo of George Russell and Kimi Antonelli followed, with Piastri’s teammate Lando Norris finishing fifth, only 0.089s behind Verstappen’s leading time.
The session was briefly red-flagged after a second crash of the weekend for Liam Lawson, leaving his Racing Bulls team in a race against time to repair the car for qualifying. Additionally, Lewis Hamilton is under investigation for a potential red flag infringement, which will be reviewed by the stewards after the session.
