David “Heavy D” Sparks, a star of the reality television series “The Diesel Brothers,” was arrested in Salt Lake City on Tuesday morning. His arrest followed the issuance of a bench warrant on October 2.
The warrant stems from unpaid fees connected to a Clean Air Act lawsuit initiated by the Utah Physicians for a Healthy Environment. Sparks, 40, allegedly owes $843,602.23 in costs that have reportedly gone unpaid for more than three years. He was booked into the Salt Lake City Jail at 7:33 AM.
Sparks and his partner, David “Diesel Dave” Kiley, rose to fame after their popular YouTube videos caught the attention of car enthusiast Jay Leno, who featured them on his show. Their success led to their own Discovery Channel series, where they built and customized diesel trucks.
Throughout their career, the “Diesel Brothers” have collaborated with numerous celebrities, including Ye, Jake and Logan Paul, and former NFL star Marshawn Lynch.
