Travis Kelce offered high praise for Blake Lively on his “New Heights” podcast, a move that has captured attention amid rumored friction between the actress and Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
During a new “New Heights Film Club” segment, Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce, reviewed Lively’s 2005 film debut, “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.” Jason initiated the compliments, referring to the actress as their “friend.”
“It is also the film debut of our friend Blake Lively. She killed it. Absolutely wonderful as Bridget,” Jason said.
Travis agreed, admitting he might be “a little biased” because he found the story of Lively’s character, Bridget Vreeland, to be “relatable.” The brothers also shared a lighthearted critique of the actress’s running form in the film. While Jason poked fun at her athletic style, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end defended her.
“She has good endurance, though,” Travis remarked, noting it was “impressive” that Lively could run while delivering her lines.
The positive comments are notable due to recent speculation about a falling out between Swift and Lively, who have been close friends for years. Reports suggest their dynamic may have shifted after Swift’s name was mentioned in connection with a legal dispute involving Lively and director Justin Baldoni.
