Hussam Abu Aisha is a Jerusalemite theatre artist and one of those who took it upon themselves to build a theatre in Jerusalem after its occupation in 1967. He is currently preparing an artistic work about Gaza entitled “A Bottle of Milk.”
Occupied Jerusalem- Artist Hussam Abu Aisha says that the “Palestinian concern” dominates the content of the art he presents, explaining that he adopts art for the sake of change.
The owner of the Jerusalemite “Al-Basma” Theater added that: Theatrical work in its beginnings in Jerusalem was similar to the fedayeen work, indicating that the actors were subjected to persecution, pursuit and imprisonment in many performances.
He added that the Palestinian concern dominates the content of his theatrical works, and that he is currently preparing a theatrical work about Gaza entitled “A Bottle of Milk.”
Abu Aisha displayed his works in the alleys and streets of Jerusalem, and received dozens of awards for best actor, writer, and theater artist.
