The Gulf Statistics Center announced that the population of the Arab Gulf states is 57.4 million, and that the percentage of males among them is 61.3%, while the percentage of females is 38.7%.
The center indicated that there are 159 males for every 100 females, indicating that the annual population growth rate is 2.5% during the period from 2015 to 2019.
He pointed out that 21.9 of the council’s residents are less than 15 years old, that the young age dependency rate is 29% and the overall dependency rate is 32.6%.
