The prominent British expert, Sharon Peacock, suggested that the war against the Corona virus in the world would last at least 10 years, expecting a large-scale outbreak of the epidemic mutation that was discovered in her country.
Peacock, who heads the Genome Studies Complex on “Covid-19” in the United Kingdom, admitted in an interview with the BBC that the new strain known as 1.1.7, which was first discovered in Kent in December, is a cause for concern, because of the danger. It undermined the effectiveness of existing vaccines against the coronavirus.
The expert expressed her concern about the continuing evolution of this strain, in light of the discovery of a new outbreak of a new mutation known as E484K in the city of Bristol, in the south of England.
The expert confirmed that the Kant strain has become prevalent in the United Kingdom and “will likely invade the world,” explaining that anti-Corona vaccines are still effective against it, but its continued mutation may lead to a change in this situation.
And she continued: “When we will prevail over the virus or it will mutate by itself and will become non-malignant, that is, not cause disease, we will be able to stop worrying about it, but looking into the future, I think we will continue this for years. We will continue to do that after ten years, according to my opinion.”
