Yevgeny Timakov, a doctor who specializes in infectious diseases, said that a person who wants to vaccinate himself with a vaccine against Covid-19 should not suffer from symptoms of respiratory viral infections, and from exacerbation of chronic diseases.
The doctor added, in a press interview: “This person should not have any of the manifestations and symptoms of cold diseases, such as cold and runny nose, cough, high temperature, feeling exhausted.”
The specialist urged not to abuse alcohol three days before the vaccination, as well as after receiving the vaccine, beware of eating heavy foods and fast food, as well as preparing psychologically for vaccination.
The doctor explained, “If this person is very anxious, his blood pressure may rise. During the vaccination, adrenaline and stress hormones are naturally secreted, and this additionally affects the blood vessels. As a result, the aforementioned person may feel dizzy and may lose consciousness.”
The specialist advises people prone to allergic reactions to take antihistamines the day before and one day after vaccination. And if they are prone to a fever, then a paracetamol tablet can be taken at night after vaccination.
