The performance of the Tunisia national team improved, but they settled for a 1-1 draw with Mali in the second round of the fifth group competitions of the African Cup of Nations held in Ivory Coast.
The Tunisian players entered the match seeking to reconcile the fans after a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Namibia at the beginning of their tournament campaign, but despite the strong start, they conceded an early goal in the 10th minute by Lassen Senayuku.
But Mali’s lead did not take long after Hamza Rafia equalized for Tunisia in the 20th minute after an interval of balls exchanged between Tunisian players.
The Tunisian national team exchanged attacks with Mali in the first half, before the clear physical and technical superiority of the competitor appeared in the second half.
Mali raised its score to four points in the lead, while Tunisia scored the first point. South Africa and Namibia will meet in the same group tomorrow, Sunday.
