Protests over COVID-19 restrictions in Amsterdam, Archives
Today, Tuesday, a Dutch court ordered the government to immediately cancel the night curfew imposed to help limit the spread of the Coronavirus, by virtue of the fact that it lacks any sound legal basis.
The curfew, the first of its kind in the Netherlands since World War II, sparked riots and vandalism in several Dutch cities that lasted for several days by anti-lockdown protesters when it came into effect on January 23.
The curfew is currently scheduled to be lifted on March 3.
