SITE reported that a group linked to Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for the killing of two French soldiers with an explosive device on the road to their armored vehicle in eastern Mali.
For its part, the “Support for Islam and Muslims” group denied its connection with the killing of 100 civilians in Nigeria, expressing its condemnation of this “indiscriminate killing.”
On the second of this month, at least 100 civilians were killed in armed attacks that targeted two villages in Niger, near the border region with Mali.
