The United Nations Support Mission in Libya announced that the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum will be held in Switzerland next week from the first to the fifth of February.
It is expected that the forum will vote during the meeting on the candidates for the three positions in the Presidential Council and Prime Minister, according to the roadmap adopted by the Political Dialogue Forum in Tunis in mid-November 2020.

The mission added in a press statement, “This new unified executive authority is temporary and will be primarily entrusted with leading Libya until the national elections scheduled for December 24, 2021, and the reunification of state institutions.”
After the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum approved the selection mechanism for this interim authority, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya announced a one-week period to submit nominations, which ended on January 28.
A committee consisting of 3 members of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum will verify that the nominations are submitted in accordance with the announced conditions.
The committee collects final lists of presidential council candidates for each region and candidates for the position of prime minister.
The opening session and other important events will be broadcast live on the United Nations webcast webtv.un.org.
