On Saturday, the US Geological Survey reported a magnitude 5.9 earthquake in the Kermadec Archipelago near New Zealand in the Pacific Ocean.
The authority said that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km.
Earlier, seismologists recorded a tremor of 5.1 magnitude, which occurred off the coast of Kamchatka, in the far east of Russia.
