The bureaucratic labor law must be reformed, therefore, they are already working on the proposals that will be presented soon, since a more agile and expeditious justice is required, said magistrate Plácido Morales Vázquez, president of the Federal Court of Conciliation and Arbitration (TFCA) when rendering your annual employment report.
The Federal Court of Conciliation and Arbitration is the body in charge of imparting justice in bureaucratic labor matters, and that is, resolving disputes between the Legislative and Executive powers and the Government of Mexico City with its workers.
In labor matters, Section B also had some changes with the 2019 labor reform, such as the free, secret and direct vote for the election of union leaders; because “union democratization is not minor, since it implies that the workers freely choose their representatives”, as is the case of the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE).
Likewise, it explained that this Court issued the corresponding agreements of 5,177 workers who freely decided to enter, resign or change their union, which compared to the 4,631 of which note was taken in the past period, generated an increase of 11.79 percent.
“With the foregoing, this body gives full compliance and validity to the freedom of association that workers at the service of the State have, as ordered by Section X of Article 123, paragraph B of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, as well as Convention 87 of the International Labor Organization”, he stated.
The TFCA had a work increase of 31.81% compared to 2021, in addition to the fact that in collective bureaucratic labor matters, supervisions were carried out in union elections for the fulfillment of the personal, free, secret and direct vote of 620,278 working people for the election of the sectional committees and national union executives, complying with the mandate of the labor reform of May 1, 2019.
Plácido Morales Vázquez pointed out that compliance with the awards increased by 22.49%, as well as the affiliation of workers to unions by 11.79%, and a growth of 33.88% in conciliation arrangements.
He also referred to the recent signing of a collaboration agreement with the International Labor Organization (ILO), which will allow the TFCA to have the essential tools to judge with a gender perspective, avoiding discrimination in all its orders.
Plácido Morales Vázquez indicated that the 2022 work report shows the general status of the procedures that are processed in the TFCA of collective and individual conflicts that arise between dependencies and workers and their union organizations.
