According to scientists, this dormancy in the sun’s activity is a normal occurrence for the onset of a new solar cycle. “As a rule, this energy is sufficient for relatively short flares, such as those that occurred at the beginning of December, which are usually followed by a prolonged recession, beginning at the end of December 2020 and expected to continue until the end of January 2021,” the laboratory statement said.
