German Antonio Rudiger, Real Madrid's centre-back, insists on the return of his colleague and compatriot, Toni Kroos, to the squad of the German national team, which is competing in the European Nations Championship (Euro 2024) next summer in Germany.
In statements to the “DAZN” platform, Rudiger revealed his persistent request from Kroos to return to the German national team, stressing, “I ask him this every day.”
The German international points out that “a player like him (Kroos) – who is still at this high level – should be there (in the national team).”

Although Rudiger is clear about his desire, he knows and accepts that Kroos will have the final say.
He added, “Tony's passes are from another planet. I very much hope that he plays again, but in the end, this is his decision.”

The German national team and Real Madrid defender stated that his national team is obligated to do well in the 2024 European Cup, which it is hosting on its home soil and among its fans, saying, “The fact that the European Championship is being held in our country is wonderful. Our goal must be to go far.”

Toni Kroos (33 years old) won the World Cup in Brazil in 2014, and ended his career in the German national team after 106 international matches in June 2021 after the European Championship.
