
In life there are streaks that seem to concentrate all existing misery. Carousels of bad news that pile up on top of each other without letting themselves breathe. Times when it can always rain a little more in the wet. Continued misfortune that attracts the most cynical thoughts.
The Denver Nuggets were caught in their own particular hell this past March. The current plague of injuries that threatens to deprive them of Michael Porter Jr., PJ Dozier and Jamal Murray for the rest of the course is nothing new in Colorado. It all started with the Canadian’s crusader injury and ended up leaving a team that faced the playoffs in the draw. Will Barton rallied to sign a contract extension that would shed some light on a course that began with Murray’s promise at the end of the road. It would not take long for hopes to be darkened.
