The Iraqi Ministry of Transport announced the registration of its seismic observatories in the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring, a second earthquake in Sulaymaniyah Governorate in the Kurdistan region.
The report stated that “the tremor was recorded at exactly two o’clock after midnight, with a magnitude of 6.3 degrees, 11 km northwest of Kalar district of Sulaymaniyah governorate.”
The report pointed out that “the earthquake occurred near the place of the first occurrence, which occurred in the same region an hour.”
He added, “It was felt by the residents of the surrounding areas,” stressing that “the seismic activity is still continuing in it.”
The authority called on citizens to “take caution, avoid rumors and false news, and abide by the commandments issued by the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring.”
