The Russian “RIA Novosti” agency reported that a soldier associated with the Taliban movement killed 7 Afghan National Army soldiers and fled from its position in the southern province of Ghazni.
According to the source: “Al-Askari fired at the seven soldiers after they were poisoned and fled carrying weapons and ammunition to an unknown destination.”
For its part, the “Taliban” movement claimed responsibility for the incident and claimed responsibility for it.
Confrontations between the elements of the movement and the army continue, as the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces are conducting joint counter-terrorism operations throughout the country.
Last September, a new round of talks was held in Doha, sponsored by Qatar and the United States, to find a solution to the conflict between the two parties.
