“The Russian Civil Aviation Authority does not confirm the assumptions of some media outlets regarding the resumption of charter flights to tourist resorts in Egypt,” Ross Aviatzia said in a statement issued on Friday.
This came after Al-Ahram newspaper reported yesterday that charter flights between Russia and Egyptian resorts will be resumed from next March 28, after which the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation said that Moscow and Cairo had agreed to resume flights, but there is no specific date yet. .
Moscow had suspended flights to and from Egypt, after a “Airbus-321” passenger plane belonging to a Russian airline crashed over Sinai at the end of October 2016, which killed 224 people on board, and it was later found that it crashed As a result of a terrorist act.
After that, regular flights were resumed to Cairo airport only, while charter flights remained suspended to Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada.
