Liverpool suffered a surprise 3-2 loss to French club Toulouse in Group E of the European Football League, today, Thursday, after the English team’s equalizer was canceled out in the last minute of stoppage time.
The hosts ended the stalemate in the 36th minute when Aaron Dunham intercepted the ball in midfield, penetrated the penalty area and scored with a deflected shot, before Tess Dalinga doubled the lead in the 58th minute.

Liverpool reduced the gap in the 73rd minute with a friendly fire goal from Christian Caceres, but Franck Magri restored Toulouse’s two-goal advantage 3 minutes later.
Diogo Jota gave hope to the competing team in the English Premier League when he dribbled more than one player inside the area and put the ball into the net.
Liverpool thought they had equalized when Jarrell Quansah scored in the seventh minute of stoppage time, but the video assistant referee disallowed the goal due to a handball on Alexis McAllister before that.
Despite the defeat, Liverpool continued to lead Group E, two points ahead of Toulouse.
