All eastbound lanes are anticipated to reopen at 6 a.m. Monday, after staff take away their tools and platforms from that aspect.
The westbound lanes are anticipated to open on August 6, after tools from that aspect is eliminated, the division mentioned.
The tools removing will occur one aspect at a time as a result of that is “the most secure situation for the employees,” the discharge reads.
“We all know having the bridge closed has been extremely inconvenient,” TDOT Commissioner Clay Shiny mentioned. “We respect the general public’s persistence whereas our staff made the repairs and carried out intensive inspections to make sure its structurally sound for a few years to come back.”
