(CNN)– Aaron Carter, who died in November at age 34, rose to fame as a teenager with his 2000 album, “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It).”
The annual tribute pays tribute to recording artists and musicians who have passed away in the past year through photos and music. Loretta Lynn, Takeoff, a member of the rap group Migos, and Christine McVie, a member of Fleetwood Mac, were among the deceased stars remembered in the segment.
Carter was listed as deceased on the Grammy site in the print program for those at the venue, but it was apparent that he was not included in the televised portion.
CNN has contacted the Recording Academy for comment.
Another artist not in the segment was Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, but there was a reason for that.
Hawkins died in March 2022 at the age of 50, days before that year’s Grammy ceremony and was honored at the time.
