The Consulate of Algeria in the Belgian capital Brussels broadcast a video of an influential meeting of a man from Algeria with his mother, after a 73-year separation between them imposed by life’s difficulties.
During this long period, Abdel-Rahman never gave up on finding his mother, Yamina, and when he reached the age of 73, he was finally able to meet her for the first time since they separated after her separation from his father, and his age was only two months old. This separation led to the loss of the trace of the mother, who spent all his life looking for her in Algeria, then in France, where he emigrated when he grew up, and then in Belgium, where he settled permanently, and he is currently the father of 5 sons and daughters and grandfather of 10 grandchildren.
The “miracle”, then, was achieved by finding Abdel-Rahman Al-Jazaery of his mother in a hospice in Lyon, France, thanks to a search report about a relative published by his son on the Internet. He was surprised by a response that provided all the information necessary to reach the missing mother for more than 7 decades.
“My mother left me two months after my birth because of my father, who was violent with her,” Abd al-Rahman says, “Then she handed me over to my grandmother, who I thought was my mother (…) I only knew the truth when I was 14 years old. Finding her, despite her advanced age, was something deep down in me telling me that she was still alive. “
Mother Yamina, who returned to the arms of her son Abd al-Rahman in Belgium, is now 93 years old, and there is no doubt that the warmth of the embrace of the joy of the liver is not matched by the homes of old and the elderly no matter what. “I am happy now and feel safe,” Yamina says, just as “I have not felt them throughout my life.”
