(CNN) — Actor Jamie Foxx is on the mend after experiencing what is being described as a “medical complication”.
Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, shared the news on Instagram Wednesday night. “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Thankfully, thanks to quick action and great care, he is now on his way to recovery. We know how loved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks privacy during this time.”
The exact nature of Foxx’s medical emergency has not been released.
Alan Nierob, a spokesman for the actor, declined to share anything beyond Corinne Foxx’s Instagram post.
“Nothing more, at this time, than what was published,” he told CNN by email.
Foxx won the Oscar for Best Lead Actor in 2005 for the movie “Ray.”
