Nuno Espirito Santo refused to be drawn on negotiations but was relaxed on contract talk
Goalkeeper Rui Patricio, midfielder Joao Moutinho and striker Raul Jimenez are already on deals worth £100,000-a-week or more.
‘You can see how happy he’s been in training just by seeing us be together again,’ boss Nuno Espirito Santo said, ahead of Monday’s trip to face Leeds.
‘We know what we have to do. First of all you have to be happy where you are and he clearly is.’

Traore came through the Barcelona academy and made fleeting appearances for the club
Traore joined Wolves in 2018 for a then club-record fee of £20million.
Traore, a former Barcelona academy product, is closely monitored by Europe’s elite and Sportsmail has previously reported, the 24-year-old is said to be wanted back at the Nou Camp, where he left in 2015.
‘It’s not my decision whether I would suit Barcelona. My mentality is to work every day to be better,’ Traore recently told AS.
He has developed impressively under Espirito Santo and has now been recognised by Spain boss Luis Enrique.

Traore was also called up by Mali, the country where his parents were born, but he elected to declare for Spain.
‘I was delighted and really happy for Adama because he made his debut and he got a start which shows the progress and the impact he’s had,’ Espirito Santo added.
‘I was delighted with all of our internationals – Daniel Podence made his debut for Portugal and Conor Coady scored for England!’
