Additional collection efforts registered 492,504 million pesos at the end of October: SAT

The Tax Administration Service (SAT) reported that the additional collection efforts registered 492,504 million pesos between January and October 2022. This meant an annual increase of 7.8% in real terms.

The amount of the additional collection efforts –or secondary collection– is made up of the inspection of large, medium and small taxpayers, as well as the collection efficiency program.

For its part, the collection efficiency program is made up of three programs: compliance with obligations, in-depth surveillance, and coercive collection.

Despite the reported data, the SAT It did not publish further details of the additional collection efforts cut to October. It should be remembered that the additional collection efforts obtained 524,426 million pesos in all of 2021.

Meanwhile, in monthly comparison with September, the amount of additional collection efforts increased by 42,524 million pesos at the end of October.

At the end of the third quarter of 2022, the secondary collection obtained 449,980 million pesos, which represented an increase of 5.6% in real terms compared to the same period in 2021.

Secondary collection from large taxpayers accounted for 147,518 million pesos between January and September of this year. Which meant an annual contraction of 4.8% in real terms.

From January to September, the audit of taxpayers that are not classified as large, reached a collection of 154,921 million pesos, an annual contraction of 6.8%, of which 54,315 million pesos correspond to foreign trade control acts.

In the referred period, the Service tax administration has obtained 147,541 million pesos through collection efficiency, which represented an annual increase of 40%.
