Adele is ‘trying to fix her relationship with Rich Paul after time apart strained their romance’

Adele has reportedly been staying at boyfriend Rich Paul’s Beverly Hills mansion while she attempts to fix their relationship. 

The 33-year-old pop sensation started dating the sports agent, 40, in early 2021 – and it was claimed on Saturday that she called off her anticipated Las Vegas residency as their romance hit a bump in the road. 

As reported in The Sun, the high-profile pair have struggled to spend time with one another in recent weeks, due to him travelling for work and her planned – but now pushed back – gigs in Sin City.

A source divulged to the publication: ‘Adele is staying at Rich’s house in Beverly Hills just trying to fix their relationship because things have become strained. They barely saw each other at the beginning of the month because he was away for work and she was trying to focus on the Vegas show.

‘She was upset he couldn’t be there with her when things started falling apart with the residency and it made things difficult for them both. She needed him there, but he couldn’t because he has his own busy career too.’

It was said to be a ‘very emotional and stressful time for her’, but now they are trying to save things by spending some quality time together.

The source also noted that ‘they really like each other’ but the last few weeks have been ‘tough.’       

It was reported on Saturday the pop star had cancelled concerts in Las Vegas over problems with Rich. 

The New York Daily News’s Richard Johnson reported the mother-of-one called off her Caesars Palace ‘Weekends With Adele’ residency less than a day before last Friday’s scheduled debut show because of issues with her boyfriend.

‘There’s trouble in paradise,’ Johnson cited an inside source as saying. ‘That’s why she can’t perform.’

Sources close to Adele’s camp claim that she has been crying through rehearsals and interrupting them to take phone calls with Paul.

Her residency was initially supposed to open last week, with performances scheduled to run through April.

‘We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time, and for it to be good enough for you. But we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID.’  

Live Nation and Caesars Palace had allegedly struggled to strike a deal with the singer fast enough to save her Las Vegas residency, with the singer tearfully blaming ‘delivery’ issues and COVID-19.

Prior to news of her relationship issues, it was also reported that the delays were down to the singer being displeased with the set design, particularly over a swimming pool erected in the middle of the stage.
