Adult believed to be dead and 17 schoolkids injured – one critically – after horror crash between a bus and a car

A ‘serious’ bus crash with another vehicle has left 19 people injured, including 17 school children, in rural Queensland on Friday afternoon.
One adult is dead, with another adult and a child said to be clinging for life.
Paramedics were called to the scene at Wallumbilla, 430 km west of Brisbane, on Friday after a vehicle collided with a bus on the Warrego Highway just before 3.30pm.
Queensland Ambulance Service have since confirmed there were 17 children on-board the bus, and one suffered multiple serious fractures that were considered critical.
The remaining 16 were in a stable condition, having suffered injuries ‘ranging from cuts, abrasions, lacerations (and) fractures.’
The bus driver was also in a stable condition after sustaining minor injuries, according to news.com.au.

Two people were trapped in the other vehicle for some time before they could be freed.
They are in a critical condition at Roma Hospital.
A total of 19 patients have been taken to the hospital.
Investigations are now underway to determine the cause of the crash.
Motorists travelling on the Warrego Highway are being warned to expect major delays this afternoon.
