Affected stations will give service this Monday

Line 3 of the Mexico City Metro will fully operate starting tomorrow, Monday, January 9although the reopening time has not been defined, informed the general director of the Metro Collective Transportation System, Guillermo Calderón at a press conference.

After the collision of two trains between the Potrero and La Raza stations last Saturday, CDXM Metro personnel began the work of “damage identification, preparation for the removal of wagons, train towing and restoration of operating conditions”, explained Guillermo Calderón.

The repair actions began at the end of the expert opinion, yesterday at 5:00 p.m., and are carried out uninterruptedly, explained the official, so that the reopening of the service on the entire line is possible starting Monday morning , information that will be confirmed tonight.

The tasks are carried out in the following order: release of the tracks, repair of the guide bar and trays, verification of systems and operational tests that guarantee the resumption of the system safely.

Today, Line 3 of the Metro only runs from the Tlatelolco to Universidad stations; while for the section from Indios Verdes to Potrero, the Ministry of Mobility (Semovi) established an emergency route with RTP, Trolebús and Mexibus trucks.
