In a letter addressed to the directors of public agencies (government hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health) in Tartous, Minister of Health Hassan Ghobash requested that hospitals operate with maximum potential and energy for the benefit of Covid-19 patients, in addition to a request to stop cold operations in them, starting today, Wednesday.
He also requested the application of the plan to summon cadres in case of emergency.
Ghobash said that this comes as a result of the development of the Corona injuries situation in the country.
On the 20th of this month, the Ministry requested similar measures to be taken in Damascus, which has recently witnessed a significant increase in the number of daily injuries and deaths in Corona, so that more than half of the injuries recorded in the country were recorded in it, followed by Tartous Governorate.
Yesterday, 172 new injuries were recorded in Syria, 70 of them in Damascus, followed by Tartous with 59 injuries, and four deaths were recorded in each of them.

And the Syrian Ministry of Health announced that the occupancy rate of the intensive care beds allocated to Corona patients in the specialized public hospitals for confirmed and suspected cases of Corona has reached 100 percent.
This comes amid an increase in the declared cases of the virus, and the official statistics announced until yesterday evening indicate that 17,583 cases were recorded, of which 1175 died, and 11,693 cases were cured.
