Last night the Lakers achieved their first victory of the season in a tremendously suffered game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The victory helps them to catch air before a series of quite affordable matches on paper and that should serve to lift the flight of a practically newborn team. However, everything could have gone wrong when Demond Bane fell on LeBron James’ leg, causing him to writhe in pain. The action was powerfully reminiscent of the one that caused his injury last season. “The first thing I thought was ‘not again’.”
After the altercation suffered in the middle of the second quarter, James was able to continue on track with apparent normality, although he assures that it was somewhat depleted. LeBron finished the game playing more than forty minutes, the player with the most of both teams. However, he admits that he will have to receive specific treatment to be available against the Spurs next Tuesday. “I hope to arrive just in time.”
