Jordanian position
Moubaideen explained that the bombing of the hospital gives an indication of the extent of Israeli discomfort with the Jordanian positions towards the aggression against civilians in Gaza, adding, “We have the honor to confront the matter, and we condemn the bombing of the hospital in the strongest terms.”

Targeting a military symbol
For his part, retired Colonel Dr. Muhammad Maqaba said, “Jordan’s insistence on continuing the work of the military field hospital in the Gaza Strip is what led to the occupation targeting 7 of the hospital’s staff.”
Speaking to Al Jazeera Net, he added in an interview, “The psychology of the Zionist enemy does not respect any treaties or agreements, and this is an old approach, and they want to target any military symbol of the other party, because the hospital’s continued operation in the Gaza Strip for this period is considered a challenge to the Zionist will.”
He pointed out that “the measures taken by Jordan in terms of expelling the Zionist ambassador from Amman and recalling the Jordanian ambassador from Tel Aviv, in addition to the strong positions against the aggression on Gaza, and at all levels, from the king to the prime minister and foreign minister, all the way to the daily popular demonstrations.” In the view of the Zionist mentality, all of this is considered political incitement against world public opinion,” explaining that “the occupation wants to convey a message to the Jordanian leadership not to go too far with the popular or official political movement, or we will strike again, and you will not be able to respond.”
In response to a question about Jordan stopping the hospital’s work if it was targeted again, the military expert said, “It is not acceptable, either popularly, politically, or militarily, for the Jordanian leadership to stop the hospital’s work, because what the occupation has done is considered an attack on Jordanian sovereignty, especially since there is Jordanian blood is flowing on the land of Gaza, and if the hospital’s work stopped today, this would be considered a loss of trust between the people and the military and political leadership. As a Jordanian military man, I say that Jordan will not stop the work of the field hospital in the Gaza Strip, even if martyrs among those working in the Gaza Strip die. the hospital”.
