The Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) and the Dos Bocas refinery, Tabasco, will be completed this year, confirmed President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
“Well, this year is going to be very important because we are going to deliver two great works, two very necessary works,” he replied during the daily morning press conference at the National Palace, to a specific question about whether he will fulfill his commitment because there is disbelief in this regard. .
“The Felipe Ángeles airport is going to be finished on March 21. We just saw the progress, they have 78%, but they are working day and night. It is a great work that is going to be the work carried out in recent times in the world in less time, of quality and at a very low cost ”, he said in reference to the video projected, as every Monday, on the progress of government works running federal.
“Around 75,000 million pesos are going to be invested in the Felipe Ángeles airport, when the project for the (airport on the) lake of Texcoco, this must be borne in mind, was estimated at 300,000 million pesos and they were not going to finish it in the time that the Felipe Ángeles airport is being completed; in their plans it was to be finished in 2025 if the program was fulfilled ”.
“The other work that we are going to finish, which they also say could not be done, since they had not built a refinery for more than 40 years, we are also going to finish this year the Dos Bocas refinery”, where it will be possible to “process 340,000 barrels per day. of crude oil that we are extracting in that southeastern region. This will mean that we are no longer going to buy gasoline and diesel from abroad; we are going to be self-sufficient. We are going to finish these two works ”.
