Air France-KLM has appointed Adriaan Den Heijer as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, effective September 1, 2025. Den Heijer will transition from his current role as Executive Vice President of Air France-KLM Cargo, a position he will retain until a successor is named. He will take over from Angus Clarke and report directly to Benjamin Smith, CEO of the Air France-KLM Group.

Den Heijer’s career with the airline group began in 1995. His extensive experience spans numerous commercial and operational leadership positions, including General Manager for Greater China, Vice President of Marketing & Brand for KLM, and Senior Vice President of KLM Ground Services at Schiphol Airport.
Prior to leading the cargo division, which he began in January 2020, he served as Senior Vice President of Pricing & Revenue Management for the Air France-KLM Group, where he was responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies. He holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Eindhoven and a postgraduate degree in Certified Financial Management from Amsterdam University.
