Al-Ahly of Egypt received a special congratulation from the International and African Confederations after snatching the bronze medal in the Clubs World Cup in front of Copa Libertadores Palmeiras, Brazil, Thursday, in Doha.
FIFA congratulated the Egyptian Red Club through the federation’s official account on Twitter.
FIFA wrote: “Al-Ahly wins penalties and takes the bronze medal. Congratulations to the Al-Ahly club for winning third place at the expense of Brazilian Palmeiras.”

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) also congratulated Al-Ahly Club for winning the third place and winning the bronze medal in the 2021 Club World Cup in the Qatari capital, Doha, at the Education City stadium.
He wrote through his account on the social networking site “Twitter”: “For the second time Al-Ahly wins the bronze in the Club World Cup .. Congratulations to the representative and hero of Africa.”
Al-Ahly is the record champion of the CAF Champions League with 9 titles, the last of which was against fellow countryman Zamalek in the “Cairo” stadium final 2020.

Al-Ahly won the third place in the Clubs World Cup, after its 3-2 penalty shootout victory over the Brazilian team, to repeat its achievement in the 2006 edition of the competition, by obtaining the same position in front of Mexico’s Club America.
Al-Ahly is preparing to start its career in the group stage of the African Champions League, when it hosts Al-Merrikh of Sudan next Tuesday, in the first round of Group A matches, which includes the Congolese Democratic Vita Club and Simba of Tanzania.
