Prayer Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in Egypt called on the governments of the Arab and Islamic countries to rush to extend a helping hand to the Palestinians in confronting the war launched by Israel against them, while the Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Khalili Praise the supporters of the Palestinian cause.
Al-Azhar said – in a statement today, Monday – that it calls on Arab and Islamic governments to harness their capabilities, wealth and sources of power to support Gaza, praising those whom he described as heroes in GazaTo whom he addressed, saying, “With your faith, you confront battleships, aircraft carriers, and missile launchers, and confront them from the platform of faith in God, neither afraid nor subservient,” according to the statement.
Al-Azhar described the occupation army as a terrorist that was “stripped of all meanings of morality and humanity, and permitted various brutal crimes, including bombing hospitals, destroying mosques and churches, and killing children, women, newspaper reporters, and innocent citizens.”
Al-Azhar appreciated what he described as the courageous manly stance of the Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres Who earlier called for “the necessity of stopping the aggression against the weak and oppressed in the Gaza Strip.”
Al-Azhar had called in previous statements on the Arab and Islamic peoples to “reconsider dependence on the West,” which it described as “arrogant.”
He pointed out that “the Palestinians must trust that the West, with all its military capabilities and destructive machines, is weak and afraid when it meets you or you meet it. It fights on land other than its own, and defends outdated beliefs and ideologies,” calling on the Palestinians to remain steadfast in the face of Israel’s attacks. “Barbaric brutality,” and not falling into the trap of “weakness” in front of those he described as “beasts of the jungle.”
Supporters are multiplying
For his part, the Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Khalili, renewed his greetings to those he described as honorable people in the world who support the Palestinian cause in light of the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

The Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman also appreciated, on more than one occasion, “the heroic stance of the Almoravids who face the repeated Israeli incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque,” especially in the month of Ramadan, criticizing “the failure of the Islamic nation, especially the Arabs, to support their brothers in occupied Jerusalem.”
