The Egyptian football coach, Hossam El-Badry, responded to the mockery of Mohamed Ibrahim, the player of Ceramica Cleopatra, after he was excluded from the list announced by the coach today, Thursday.
Al-Badri announced earlier in the day, the list of the Egyptian national team, which included 28 players, in preparation for the Kenya and Comoros matches in the African Nations Cup qualifiers, “Cameroon 2021”.
The Egyptian Mohamed Ibrahim wrote a “tweet” through his personal account on the “Twitter” website, after announcing the list of the “Pharaohs” team, in which he said: “By God Almighty I am an Egyptian,” referring to his objection to not being included in the list.

Hossam Al-Badri responded in press statements after the list was announced: “Every free player in his opinion, my choices for the players came after careful follow-up of the league matches and professional players outside Egypt, and the door is open for everyone to represent the national team.”
Al-Badri confirmed that Muhammad Ibrahim and Yusef Obama are distinguished players, but he justified their exclusion by the presence of several alternatives in the same position, and that he opened the door to joining them in the future on the condition of commitment and preservation of performance.
The Egyptian coach indicated that the football player is linked to several things, not only his performance on the field, but also his personality, focus and organization, explaining that the door is open to committed players who have a desire to join the national team.
Al-Badri stressed that joining the Egyptian national team is not easy, but rather a product of the efforts and experiences of the players, stressing that there are players in major clubs who cannot join the team due to the presence of other factors such as the player’s personality and commitment.
Regarding the reason for including 28 players on the list of the Egyptian national team, Al-Badri replied: “We preferred to include a large number of players, in anticipation of any infections, whether the new Corona virus, or any other injuries.”
The Egyptian national team will start its camp on March 21st, and the teams of Kenya and Comoros will face on the 25th and 29th of this month, respectively, as part of the competitions in the fifth and sixth rounds of the qualifiers.
Egypt leads its group in the qualifiers with 8 points, ahead of the Comoros national team, while the Kenyan team ranks third with 3 points, and finally the Togo team, with one point.
