The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces praised Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan With the honorable stance of journalists and media professionals, alongside the people and the armed forces, in the face of Rapid Support Forces.
This came during a meeting held today, Sunday, in Port Sudan, where the General Union of Sudanese Journalists organized a meeting that brought together Al-Burhan with an elite group of media professionals.
In his speech, Al-Burhan praised the sacrifices of the armed forces, other regular forces, and the popular resistance in thwarting the plans of the Rapid Support Forces, noting that the Sudanese people will not tolerate these “rebels and mercenaries.”
Al-Burhan stressed that there is no place for the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan, stressing that the people's decision is to end this rebellion decisively.
Speaking about the ongoing negotiations, Al-Burhan explained that: Sudan Refused to participate in the Geneva negotiations because the invitation did not meet the country's requirements.
The head of the Sudanese Journalists Union, Al-Sadiq Al-Raziqi, expressed his condolences for the souls of the journalists who fell victim to the Rapid Support Forces, and called for the establishment of a fund to support journalists affected by the war.
Al-Raziqi launched an initiative to rehabilitate media institutions destroyed by the war, stressing the importance of providing health insurance services and the necessary support for journalists.
The meeting concluded with interventions from a number of journalists and media professionals, who called for strengthening the role of the press and enabling media institutions to access information to serve public opinion.
