The military and strategic expert, Major General, said Fayez Al-Duwairi The cost incurred by the Israeli occupation army during the disengagement process in the northern region of Gaza strip It was expensive, pointing out that his withdrawing forces needed rehabilitation and building readiness.
Al-Duwairi pointed out in a military analysis for Al Jazeera that despite the conflicting statements regarding the withdrawal of the occupation forces from northern Gaza, what was observed in the course of the battle confirms these withdrawals in the north as well as in the areas east of the Gaza Strip.
He added that these withdrawals had been taking place in full swing over the past few days, and “it is what we called the ‘disengagement process,’ which had a high cost to the occupation army,” noting that the videos of the resistance forces that were broadcast recently clearly confirm this.
The military expert believes that the occupation forces are likely to reposition around Gaza and not inside it, but that does not mean abandoning the implementation of artillery, missile and air bombardments and ground entry at later times.
In this context, Al-Duwairi explains that the occupation army will continue to push its forces in an attempt for a temporary and recurring presence, which means establishing barriers and checkpoints that will be on Al-Rashid and Salah Al-Din Streets and in Wadi Gaza.
He added that the withdrawing forces need to be rehabilitated and build readiness, and if this is accomplished, it is possible that they will be pushed into the rear areas of the post-coverage area, as happened with the Golani Brigade. When it withdrew, it was rehabilitated and thrown into the south.
Al-Duwairi believes that after a long period of targeting, it is expected that the conflict mechanism will change as the occupation army is forced to withdraw from the areas it entered, especially in the north, where only 25% of its forces that were present remain.
