Opta, a network specializing in statistics and numbers, revealed the ranking of the best Arab clubs during the month of August 2024, and Al-Hilal Saudi Arabia came at the top of the top 10 Arab teams.
Al Hilal has 87.4 points, ahead of its rival Al Nassr, led by its Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo (83.3 points), while Al Ahly of Egypt, the African League champion last season, came in third with (82.9 points).
Al-Zaeem currently occupies the 45th position in the world rankings, while Al-Nasr and Al-Ahly of Egypt came in the 104th and 110th positions, respectively.
Al Hilal entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest winning streak in football history, with 34 consecutive wins in official tournaments.
The list of the top 10 Arab clubs included two teams from Saudi Arabia (Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr), two teams from Egypt (Al-Ahly and Pyramids), Morocco (French Army and Raja Casablanca), Algeria (Belouizdad and Mouloudia), a team from Tunisia (Taraji) and another from the Emirates (Al-Wasl).
The Opta Power ranking is based on a scale from zero to 100, the highest possible rating (where zero is the worst-ranked team in the world and 100 is the best-ranked team in the world).
Opta bases its rating, which is updated every Monday, on the team's weekly results, its opposing teams and the number of consecutive wins, with updates once a week.
