Press reports indicate that Al Hilal Saudi Arabia has recently intensified its efforts to sign Liverpool star Mohamed Salah before the Club World Cup scheduled for June 15, 2025.
Talk Sport reported that Al Hilal has made plans to sign Salah before the start of the expanded Club World Cup, in which the Saudi League champion will participate.
The channel added that the Saudi Football Association will communicate with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) regarding the exceptional transfer window before the Club World Cup, so in theory it is possible to try to include the player in the period from 1 to 10 next June.
FIFA recently announced the opening of an exceptional transfer period for clubs participating in the Club World Cup scheduled to be held in the United States of America.
Given the fact that Salah’s contract expires at the end of next June, it may be difficult for Al-Zaeem to arrange a free transfer in their preferred time frame.
Salah’s (31 years old) contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the current season on June 30.
The Egyptian international has been heavily linked to a move to the Saudi League in recent years, as Liverpool rejected an offer worth $195 million last summer.
A mysterious message from Salah
Salah indicated on numerous occasions that the 2024-2025 season would be his last season at Liverpool, and after scoring the winning goal for the Reds 2-1 against Brighton last Saturday, the striker posted a mysterious message on social media.
Salah wrote: “The top of the table is where this club belongs. Nothing lower. All teams win matches but there is only one champion in the end. This is what we want. Thank you for your support last night. No matter what happens I will never forget the feeling of scoring.” At Anfield.”

Salah’s words were interpreted as a hint that he could leave Liverpool at the end of his contract.
In response to Salah’s message, Reds coach Arne Sloat said on the eve of facing Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League, “I did not talk about this with Mo (Mohamed Salah). His contract expires at the end of the season. The situation will continue like this as long as the future is not clear. The focus will be on the matches.” coming at the moment.”
Addressing the journalist who asked the question, Slott added, “I interpreted the matter in a way that others might not do. I do not follow the players’ posts on Instagram. I talk to them, which you cannot do, and this is the advantage that I enjoy. This is what is important, not how you interpret one of his posts.” .
