Boston just added its second positive for coronavirus of the preseason. After learning that Jaylen Brown went into quarantine on October 8, now it is Al Horford who has tested positive and has been forced to initiate isolation; officially reports the Boston Celtics.
The forward, who has been away from the team for almost a week, could be available to play the first game of the season in New York. We still have to wait, but everything will ultimately depend on passing two negative tests 24 hours apart.
Regarding the pivot, who returns to the Massachusetts organization two years after his departure, it seems difficult that he does not miss some games, since the quarantine period would force him to be unemployed even if he does not have symptoms of the disease.
The truth is that it is not being an easy preseason for the Celtics. Even if Brown arrived for the debut against the Knicks, he would do so after almost two weeks without working with his teammates. The absence of Horford, who is starting in the preparation games, does not help Ime Udoka either. And all this after a 2020-21 course that was not good at all.
