The head of the Media Office in the Mobilization and Organization Commission of the Fatah movement, Munir al-Jaghoub, said that the decision to stop funding is a temporary decision that will not affect the employees of the organization, and the aim is not to exploit the institution for personal purposes.
Al-Jaghoub said in a post on his Facebook page on Monday that the institutions of the Palestine Liberation Organization belong to the Palestinian people, indicating that they are the product of long sacrifices and pain that all the people have suffered.
He stressed that it is not permissible for anyone to use these institutions for the purposes of electoral campaigning under any name.
He added that it is not permissible to convert this symbolism of the institution into private meetings for electoral purposes, indicating that the decision to stop funding is a temporary decision that will not affect the employees of the institution and the aim of it is not to exploit the institution for personal goals.
Al-Jaghoub explained, “The Foundation for the symbolic martyr Yasser Arafat is the legacy of the Palestinian people, because his life is a struggle for the people and documents the longest history and the greatest revolution in history for the fairest cause.”
