Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi attended the Christmas Eve mass Thursday evening at the Lady of Deliverance Church in Baghdad.
Al-Kazemi said during his speech in the church: “This church witnessed a heinous crime committed by terrorism, but the will of the proud people of Iraq was not broken before those who tried unsuccessfully to weaken the state and the law.”
He added, “The Christian-Islamic brotherhood has always been a prominent and vivid example of national brotherhood, and that the Iraqis are only one family and one people attest to this by their history and the effects of their civilizations, which refutes the illusions of sectarianism and religious discrimination that are completely far from the facts.”
