The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, confirmed today, Saturday, that his country is seeking to consolidate its relations with the Sultanate of Oman, and expressed his hope that the coming period will witness coordination between the two countries.
An Iraqi government statement said, “Al-Kazemi received the Sultanate of Oman’s ambassador to Iraq, Hamid bin Aqeel Abdros.”
He added, “The Omani ambassador conveyed to Al-Kazemi the greetings of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, and his wishes for the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries for development and prosperity in all fields. Al-Kazimi also conveyed his greetings to the Sultan of Oman, and expressed his hope for further cooperation and strengthening relations between Baghdad and Muscat.” “.
The government statement indicated that “the meeting discussed a number of issues of common interest, regional situations and everything that would enhance stability and security in the region.”
