(CNN) — Al Pacino and his girlfriend Noor Alfallah have welcomed a baby boy, a representative for the actor told CNN.
Pacino, 83, and Alfallah, 29, a film producer, named their son Roman Pacino.
The Oscar-winning actor has three other children, two with Beverly D’Angelo and one with Jan Tarrant.
When news broke earlier this month that Pacino would be a father again, his friend and co-star Robert De Niro, who at 79 welcomed his seventh child last month, shared his excitement.
“Come on Al, God bless him,” De Niro said.
In 2014, Pacino told the magazine New Yorker how the fact that his father abandoned him and his mother when he was two years old marked his relationship with his children.
“It’s the missing link, if you will,” he said. “Having children has helped me a lot. I knew consciously that I didn’t want to be like my father. I wanted to be there. I have three children. I am responsible for them. I am part of their life. When I am not there, it is annoying for me and for them.”
CNN contacted Pacino’s representatives.
Pacino won the Best Actor Oscar for “Profumo di donna” in 1992, and has also received multiple nominations throughout his career.
He has never retired and continues to appear regularly in film, such as in director Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman” (2019), as well as on television, including the Amazon series “Hunters” (2020-2023).
