Al-Ra’i said, “When we were living in a time of neutrality, Lebanon lived in prosperity and progress, and we lost everything when it was imposed on us not to be neutral,” pointing out that “we have reached a place where we cannot understand each other, so we proposed holding an international conference.”
“We have to diagnose our illness and present our suffering based on 3 constants, which are the National Accord Document, the Constitution and the Charter, and everything that is disputed today at home is because of external interference,” he added.
Al-Rahi called on every political party in Lebanon to “draw up a paper on our problem in Lebanon to present it as a single paper to the United Nations without referring to any country.”
Political parties in Lebanon exchange accusations of obstructing the formation of the government in light of the economic and financial collapse that the country did not witness even in the civil war.
