Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed during his meeting today, Sunday, with Tarek Amer, governor of the Central Bank, to launch a real estate financing program for low-income people.
The Egyptian presidency spokesman, Ambassador Bassam Radi, added, “President Sisi’s directives came to support the ability of low-income people to own housing units, with long-term loans of up to 30 years with a low and simple interest that does not exceed 3%.”
The spokesman also indicated that the meeting also dealt with “reviewing the activities of the Central Bank within the framework of the monetary and financial system of the state.”
