The Egyptian presidency announced that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi had directed to increase the wages of all employees of the state’s administrative apparatus, by a total of about 37 billion pounds.

The Egyptian presidency said in a statement that President Al-Sisi discussed the review of the draft budget for the next fiscal year 2021-2022, and directed to raise the minimum wage to 2,400 pounds.
Al-Sisi called for the approval of two bonuses at a cost of about 7.5 billion pounds, the first being a periodic bonus for employees engaged in the civil service law, at a rate of 7% of the job wage, and the second, a special bonus for workers not addressed by the civil service law, at a rate of 13% of the basic salary.
It also decided to increase the additional incentive for both those addressed and not addressed by the civil service law, at a total cost of about 17 billion pounds, and to increase the value of pensions by about 13%, at a total cost of about 31 billion pounds.
The decision extended to the promotion of employees who meet the promotion requirements on 6/30/2021, in order to achieve an improvement in their wages, with a total value estimated at one billion pounds.
It also decided to allocate a financial incentive program estimated at about 1.5 billion pounds for workers transferred to the new administrative capital.
